Waterplace Enns
A special Water.
This Nature.Power.Place. is being beautified for you, which is why it is currently closed to visitors. The structural restoration measures for this section of the Enns River are expected to be completed by early 2026.
At 254 km, the Enns is Austria's longest inland river and the eponymous part of the Enns-Drau watershed. This river system runs from the Lower Tauern to the Mürzsteg Alps – through Salzburg and Styria to Lower Austria.
The Enns was "tamed" as a wild river through various regulations in order to increase agricultural use. The EU-funded LIFE IP IRIS project is implementing restoration measures for the ecological restoration of the Enns River while simultaneously improving flood protection. Details can be found at https://life-iris.at/enns-steiermark. The modern implementation of restoration passages with fish ladders and rest areas is important today. This impressive waterway thus once again lives up to its function as a connection between humans and nature.
For the water of the Enns still contains the original power of the spring in every molecule. These powers are accessible to all those who resonate with the Enns and its flow.
THE RESONANCE EXERCISE
(DRY) RIVER QIGONG
For You
Anchor your feet firmly to the ground on the bank, stand relaxed, close your eyes, or adopt a soft gaze without any particular focus.
Your hands grasp an invisible sphere in front of your body, pushing it away from your body with a slow, steady movement and as far forward as possible. At the turning point, grasp the sphere and slowly pull it back toward your body. The downward and upward movement is repeated in the same way.
Repeated repetitions, performed at increasingly slower speeds, increase relaxation.
For Couples
Move a shared invisible sphere in the same way, keeping a suitable distance from each other.
For groups or families
The Water Drop Game: Form a circle, and everyone in the middle takes turns receiving a small fingertip massage on the top of their head from everyone else. Depending on the proximity to the water, it can feel like many small water drops. The recipient chooses the appropriate intensity.
The Aquarium: All group members move around as agilely and nimbly as fish. The focus is on filling any gaps that arise as quickly as possible.
