The Schladming-Dachstein tourism region with the Schladming 4-mountain ski area (Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm) and international concert organiser Klaus Leutgeb once again created a sensation and probably the most legendary ski opening in the Austrian mountains.
The Backstreet Boys have been thrilling fans worldwide since the 1990s with timeless hits such as ‘I Want It That Way,’ ‘Everybody (Backstreet's Back),’ ‘As Long As You Love Me’ and ‘Quit Playing Games (With My Heart).’ In addition to these classics, fans can also look forward to new material at the 2025 Ski Opening in Schladming-Dachstein: On 11 July, their anniversary album Millennium 2.0 has been released, a reissue of their 1999 album Millennium.

Yes, the lifts and slopes will already be open for the ski opening at the beginning of December.
The Backstreet Boys last performed in Austria on 28 May 2019 as part of their ‘DNA World Tour’ at the Wiener Stadthalle. Since then, there have been no further concerts by the band in Austria.
The upcoming Ski Opening on 5, 6 and 7 December 2025 in Schladming-Dachstein therefore marks not only the start of the winter season, but also the Backstreet Boys' first European concert in six years. For Austrian fans, this is a special opportunity to see the band live again after a long time.
The Backstreet Boys concerts for the 2025 Ski Opening in Schladming will take place at the Planai mountain station. You can reach the concert venue without a ski pass or ski equipment. The concert is an open-air event.
