Simone Kopmajer & Band – "HOPE"

[ku:L] Öblarn

A voice that touches the soul. Music that inspires hope. And a sound that flows effortlessly between jazz, swing, and soulful pop:

On November 7, [ku:L] will host a special concert evening with Simone Kopmajer, Austria's internationally acclaimed jazz icon.

She will be bringing along her latest album, “HOPE,” nominated for the 2025 Amadeus Award—a sensitive journey through jazzy original compositions, lovingly reinterpreted classics, and surprising covers from Otis Redding to George Michael. Songs like “Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay” and “Careless Whisper” are given a whole new lease of life thanks to Kopmajer's warm voice and the sensitive band.

But “HOPE” is more than just an album title – it's an attitude. Simone Kopmajer brings her personal view of the world to life, leaving plenty of room for emotion and, together with her top-class band, capturing the musical lightness that makes jazz so special.

Whether you're a long-time jazz fan or simply a lover of handmade, touching music, this evening will be an experience. Gentle, elegant, playful, and absolutely worth listening to.

Lineup:
Simone Kopmajer – vocals
Paul Urbanek – piano
Karl Sayer – bass
Reinhardt Winkler – drums
Thomas Kugi – tenor saxophone & flute
