The Loden Manufactory Steiner 1888 has stood for quality and tradition for over a century. As a family business since 1888, we have made it our mission to preserve the time-tested methods of loden production while combining them with modern technologies.
Production Tours
Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of loden production. Our tours are personally led by trained guides. You will gain unique insights into the various production steps and can experience the different materials and work steps for yourself at special touch stations in the respective departments.
3D Cinema and Information Films
We begin the tour in our impressive 3D cinema. During the tour, you will see further short films at various stations, providing you with exciting background information and details about our craft. We provide headphones for better understanding.
A shopping experience on three floors
Visit our large shop, which spans three floors and offers a wide variety of our products. Whether clothing, accessories, or home textiles – here you will find high-quality loden items for every taste.
Cozy Café
After an inspiring tour of our factory, we cordially invite you to our cozy café. Enjoy a cup of coffee and regional specialties in a relaxed atmosphere.

A look behind the scenes, a guided tour through the old walls of the manufactory you "grasp" the positive properties of wool. You will be guided through the manufactory by multimedia: 3D cinema, touch stations, information monitors & an expert guide make the tour an exciting experience.
Public guided tours (without registration) always Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10.00 am and 3.00 pm. Individual appointments possible for groups of 10 or more.
