The brand-new glacier restaurant with a breathtaking 280-degree view and spacious outdoor terrace at an impressive 2,700 meters above sea level is located directly in the mountain station of the Dachstein Glacier Lift. With around 220 seats, the restaurant offers plenty of space for guests - whether for a cozy stop or a special experience above the clouds. Natural materials such as loden, stone and wood create a cosy atmosphere and harmonize perfectly with the high alpine surroundings.
In addition to its altitude and panoramic location with fantastic views of the Dachstein massif and the surrounding Alpine landscape, there is something else that makes it unique: the border between the federal states of Styria and Upper Austria runs right through the middle of the restaurant.
The Dachstein Glacier Restaurant bears the “Kulinarium Steiermark” seal of quality and stands for authentic enjoyment, regionality and top quality at the highest level. If you fancy something sweet or sour, or if you're thirsty, you'll find everything you need at the Dachstein restaurant: regional specialties, a variety of daily specials, snacks and tasty snack boards for in between meals as well as a salad and cake buffet.
Our culinary events provide a culinary highlight: experience the sunrise with a regional breakfast buffet in the glacier restaurant or enjoy the sunset on selected days with a fondue with a fantastic evening atmosphere on the glacier.
