Ski Touring for Beginners
On a short introductory tour, you will gain basic knowledge for ski touring: correct walking technique, track setting, terrain assessment, avalanche transceiver basics, and handling of safety equipment.
Ski touring and safety equipment will be provided where available.

Freeride – Beginner Tour
An introduction to the essentials of freeriding for newcomers and those who want to become one. A light but rewarding powder descent with the following content: avalanche transceiver basics, freeride and safety equipment, fundamentals of snowpack stability, terrain assessment, and behavior outside secured ski areas.

Tuesday
Avalanche Transceiver (LVS) Safety Training
Safe handling of the avalanche transceiver (LVS) and the associated safety equipment (shovel and probe) is essential for all ski tourers and freeriders. Targeted and methodically structured exercises, led by a certified mountain and ski guide, ensure effective learning.

Freeride Tour – Edelgrieß (bookable daily)
The Edelgrieß is one of the most famous and popular freeride descents on the Dachstein. With 1,600 vertical meters of descent and a breathtaking alpine panorama, it’s a true highlight.

Wednesday
Ice Climbing for Beginners
The frozen waterfall, you, and gravity! We offer the perfect opportunity to get started. Special rental equipment is provided free of charge, but crampon-compatible boots must be brought along.

Dachstein Summit Ascent, 2,995 m (bookable daily)
Secured by rope with a certified mountain and ski guide, you will climb the winter summit of Styria’s highest mountain. For maximum safety and the best possible experience, the group size is limited to 2 participants.

Thursday
Dachstein Crossing
With touring skis across the Dachstein glacier – either to Hallstatt or to Obertauern.

Ski Tour – Gumpeneck, 2,226 m
The Gumpeneck in the nearby Sölktal is one of the most popular ski touring destinations in the region. The ascent takes you past the Schönwetterhütte and further along the long but easy ridge to the summit.

Two-Country Ski Tour Styria – Salzburg
A wonderful ski tour with an ascent over the gentle southeastern slopes of the Sulzenschneid and descent either via the fantastic powder slopes on the western side to Filzmoos or via the spring snow slopes to the Bachalm.

Freeride Tour – Fluder
The wide, steep cirque west of the Scheichenspitze runs directly down to Ramsau and is a freeride descent of superlatives – suitable only for experienced powder skiers.

Snowshoe Hike – Brandriedl
A leisurely hike with magnificent views of the Dachstein south walls and the Ramsau plateau.

A shorter but rewarding ski tour to the exposed summit of the Krahbergzinken, starting from the mountain station of the Planai cable car.

Freeride Tour – Gruberscharte
