50 years of Aus dem Leben Hödlmosers
To mark the 50th anniversary of his Styrian cult novel Aus dem Leben Hödlmosers (1973), author Reinhard P. Gruber invites you to a special reading. He will present selected passages from his satirical masterpiece with unmistakable humor and linguistic acuity.
Gruber will be accompanied by the duo Hödlmoser-Blech, consisting of Nikola Vukovic (trumpet, flugelhorn, slide trumpet) and Christoph Wundrak (baritone horn, tuba, slide trumpet, composition & arrangement). Their musical commentaries and improvisations add an additional, sonorous layer to the texts.
Hödlmoser-Blech's music combines alpine tradition with jazzy and rock elements - experimental, surprising and always in dialog with Gruber's pointed reading. An entertaining evening full of wit, depth and musical sophistication.
