This house was built in 1900 by Ferdinand Kitzinger, my great-grandfather, and was primarily used as a summer villa for friends and guests until 1945. From 1945, the house was converted for year-round use and consequently was inhabited on the ground floor by my aunt Bella Kitzinger, a master tailor, and on the upper floor by my grandparents Hans Waldried* and Theresa Moser until around 1975. After that, we began to renovate the house, and in 1988 my parents moved their main residence there. After my father's death in 2003, my mother lived alone in the house until 2013. I gradually began modernizing it again, and finally, in 2017, we were able to start renting out the ground floor to holiday guests. The upper floor was renovated for personal use, and in the process, the garden was also slightly redesigned, the old garden shed was renewed, and lawn areas were created.
*H.W. Moser served as the first director of the play "The Wedding" by Paula Grogger. It has been performed every 5 years to this day and is very worth seeing. Not only the scenery and the story excite the audience, but also the locals of Öblarn who become actors.
