Paul Averhoff (Dieter Hallervorden) was once a star—an Olympic marathon champion, celebrated and admired. Today he lives in a retirement home. Everyday life, craft sessions, coffee parties – but not for him! When the boredom becomes unbearable, Paul laces up his running shoes and sets himself a goal: he wants to run a marathon again.
